When I was 6 years old, my parents got me a quad and my older brother a Honda Z50. The first time I rode his bike, it was "Goodbye quad - Hello dirtbike"!
From then on, I've been a dirt bike guy. My first dirt bike was a 1998 Kawasaki KX60. We had a mini track in our back yard and our family and friends had a great time racing each other. At age 8, I raced at a Kicker Arenacross in my hometown of El Paso, Texas. My first competitive race. For a few years following, I raced several Arenacross races during the series. I got into BMX bicycles and we built a half pipe ramp where our backyard track used to be. Deep down though, I missed riding dirtbikes.
In 2016, I was a senior in high school and 18 years old. My mom offered me the opportunity to try racing one last time. I was all in. I went to Shannon Niday riding school full time and got my high school diploma, via home school and I was living in an RV that my grandparents had provided. I qualified for my first Loretta Lynn's race in the C class.
In 2017, I was moved up to the B class. I trained with Sean Hackley. By placing top 5 at Loretta Lynn’s , I had to move up to the A class. I lived on Quicks MotoRanch and trained with Zack Mashburn. I decided to go pro in 2019 and moved to Phoenix to train with Justin Buckelew. I got my final point to go Pro SX in January 2020.I started my pro Supercross racing career with Team Solitaire in February 2020.
In 2021, I started Slushie Nation and raced supercross as a privateer with main sponsor Hugh Ridley and finished the season with 19th overall on the SX east coast. For the outdoor, I was only able to race a few due to budget with Blendzall as my main sponsor. I received # 79 as National Pro number for 2022.
For the 2023 season, my number will be #173. I will be with Team Next Level Racing for the 250 West and 450 East coast.
2024: I will keep #173, will stay with Team Next Level Racing KTM on a 450 for the Supercross season!
and yes, I still live in that RV.
